SUCCESS STORY

Meet Angela & Norma

I’ve tried all the camps and each one is different, never the same thing 2 days in a row, everyone is friendly and encouraging. When I first started I couldn’t run from one lamppost to the next but now although I’ll never be a runner I can run without stopping and I’m so proud of my achievements. – NORMA

April 2012, me and my daughter were at the Girls Day Out in Glasgow when Stefanie saw a stand for Burn It Fitness, once we realised it was a local fitness class, we signed up that day. – ANGELA

"I'm fitter now in my 50's than I was in my 30's "

I was about to turn 50 and decided that I wanted to live to a ripe old age but wanted to be able to enjoy it and be fit. I had always done some sort of fitness class from step, Zumba, kettle bells to the gym.

The gym just wasn’t for me and if it was raining I would find an excuse not to go. Angela had signed up for a free trial after seeing your campaign at ” the girls day out” I came along with her the next week and that was us hooked. For the next 5 years I have been coming twice a week, every week in all weathers and love it.

I’ve tried all the camps and each one is different, never the same thing 2 days in a row, everyone is friendly and encouraging. When I first started I couldn’t run from one lamppost to the next but now although I’ll never be a runner I can run without stopping and I’m so proud of my achievements.

I joined to keep fit and I’m fitter now in my 50’s than I was in my 30’s

"I feel so good after Burn It think I could conquer the world"

April 2012, me and my daughter were at the Girls Day Out in Glasgow when Stefanie saw a stand for Burn It Fitness, once we realised it was a local fitness class, we signed up that day.   A couple of weeks later we attended our first Livingston Monday night session, it was pouring with rain, but that night after the class I was hooked, and my friend Norma joined the following week.

Five years later we’ve never looked back, even in the winter when we just couldn’t quite imagine how Burn It were going to pull off sessions outdoors in the wind, rain and dark nights, but we are there, twice a week trying our best, whatever the weather.

Some nights it feels like the hardest thing in the world and I go home feeling like I’ve been kicked by a mule, other nights I feel so good after Burn It think I could conquer the world 🙂

The instructors are fantastic, always encouraging you, and making you realise, you can do a bit more and go a bit further, what makes it too is that you never really know what you are going to do that night, no two sessions are ever the same!

For me it’s about keeping fit in a fun way and hoping that I’m building up good health for the future.  How I wish Burn It existed 20 years ago.
